FSF Postponed until Oct.
Border Social forum
October 13-15, 2006
Many organizations that anticipate participating in the first Border Social Forum (BSF) have petitioned us to change the dates of the Forum scheduled for May 3-5, 2006. The great majority of organizations making the change of date request are organizations involved in organizing for the May 1 General Strike and have been active in organizing the marches for migrant rights and against the racist and anti-migrant, anti worker laws proposed at the US Congress.
Your organization can join the Organizing Comité that got formed at the meeting of the 18 of February, 2006 in CD Juárez. We need to add more people to the Organizing Committee but the process has already started and is underway.

The Border Social Forum process is organizing permanent ‘work commissions’ to work before and after the Border Social Forum. The Work Commissions are;
- Program Commission
- Labor and work Commission
- Art & Culture Commission
- México-US relations Commission
- Human Rights Commission (Indigenous & Migrants)
- Commission on Women & Youth
The Border Social Forum INVITES your organization to submit and application for a Workshop, Panel or Work Commission. Please send all proposals to: grulla@igc.org en cargo de Rubén Solís.
